Tire Pyrolysis

How do we recycle tires?

The Ecoverte Approach

Leveraging our cutting-edge Advanced Continuous Pyrolysis (ACP) technology, Ecoverte is redefining tire recycling. Our process begins with having whole scrap tires converted into crumb rubber with the steel wire thoroughly removed. This crumb rubber is then processed through our advanced machinery.

High-Quality Salable Products

Upon completion of our multi-step tire recycling process, Ecoverte produces two exceptional products ready for sale and use across various industrial markets: Recovered Carbon Black (rCB) and Waste Tire Pyrolysis Oil (WTPO). These sought-after materials underscore our commitment to transforming waste into valuable resources.

Recovered Carbon Black (rCB)

Ecoverte’s recovered carbon black distinguishes itself from traditional rCB through an enhanced refinement process during recovery. This method leads to a significantly notable reduction in ash and contaminants, delivering a superior final product.

Waste Tire Pyrolysis Oil (WTPO)

Through a more extensive refinement process, Ecoverte's Waste Tire Pyrolysis Oil (WTPO) sets itself apart from traditional WTPO. Our advanced approach results in fewer heavy metal contaminants and a higher-quality product.

Why we are different.

More Efficient

Ecoverte's tire recycling process boasts an impressive 97% efficiency. In addition, we optimize resource utilization and minimize waste by transforming surplus gases into fuel to completely power our machinery (after initial priming) and supplement our electrical needs for the rest of our facility.

Enhanced-Quality Products

Our products surpass the quality of those produced by our competitors. For instance, recovered carbon black derived from conventional pyrolysis is often unsuitable for tire manufacturing due to its high ash content and contaminants. In contrast, our recovered carbon black can be seamlessly integrated into tire manufacturing processes.

Speed is Our Strength

Our patented advanced continuous process distinguishes Ecoverte, allowing us to operate at a pace over 10 times faster than traditional batch-processing pyrolysis companies. This significant speed advantage amplifies our efficiency and bolsters our ability to contribute positively to the environment.

A Climate-Positive Solution

Our Advanced Continuous Pyrolysis (ACP) process significantly reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. For each ton of scrap tires we process, or 100 Passenger Tire Equivalents (PTEs), we achieve a net reduction of 1.51 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent emissions. As a result, when our waste tire pyrolysis plant is operating at full capacity, it will lead to an impressive decrease of 135,936 tons of CO2 emissions annually.

Ecoverte's approach underscores our unwavering dedication to fostering sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions.
